General Summary:

The primary function of this position is account management and customer relations with sales and lead generation. Golden West Technologies is a solution focused organization and engages with our customers through a consultative process. The position involves proposal and report writing and with ability to effectively present reports to clients. Fundamental business and financial acumen is required. This position is a quota based sales position.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Account and Customer Relations Management (CRM).
  • Proposal generation and presentation.
  • Pipeline Management.
  • Perform a needs analysis and gap assessment with documented recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architect, Customer Vendor Advocates and Project Manager to meet customers’ needs.
  • Document initial scope of work for projects.
  • Pass vendor certification exams at a defined proficiency level.
  • Participate in Company-sponsored training.
  • Stay current with changes and developments in the industry. This includes gathering competitive information on products and services, maintaining market awareness, and sharing this information with the marketing and sales team.
  • The Account Executive will interface with other Departments as needed within Golden West to ensure customer satisfaction with services provided.
  • Maintain ongoing customer relationships with periodic telephone and premise visits to ensure continued customer satisfaction with all services purchased from Golden West.
  • Maintain sales certifications as required.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by Management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales practices and principles.
  • Skill in writing original material, editing, proofreading and finalizing written material.
  • Skill in gathering and reporting numerical data and producing statistical reports.
  • Skill in operating various office equipment such as a computer, copy machine, fax machine and multi-line telephone.
  • Skill in use of Microsoft Office Applications to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint to name a few.
  • Skill in business and financial acumen fundamentals to include business drivers and key financial metrics.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to manage time and communicate status for all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and in speaking, with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to work completely and accurately under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with C-Level and other management.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and customer relations management.
  • Ability to work in a safe and effective manner.
Education and/or Experience:

Degree in Marketing/Sales, Business, Communications, Advertising and/or related field, at least three years of industry experience, with a minimum of two years of outside sales experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid South Dakota driver’s license, have an excellent driving record and be insurable under the Company’s insurance policy.

Working Conditions:
Good working conditions with the absence of disagreeable conditions. Climate controlled building with adequate lighting and space. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
