General Summary:

Golden West Technologies (GWT) provides technology leadership and IT infrastructure management for a wide variety of clients across western South Dakota and eastern Wyoming. The core of the practice is quarterly strategic discussions with client stakeholders, helping them align their business needs with the proper technology to meet those needs. Those discussions are enabled by regular proactive assessments of each client’s network, allowing clients to spend their dollars most effectively. Additionally, each client receives reactive support solving those immediate technical needs from a highly skilled technical team in the GWT Network Operations Center (NOC). The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) plays a critical role in lead generation for new clients that might benefit the most from this level of technology leadership, mentorship, and support.
 

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for helping grow our Technology Leadership services by creating and maintaining suspect list, generating leads, setting appointments, and advancing the sales process to meet our targeted quotas. The core of this role is conducting necessary activities, typically phone calls, to start “conversations” with decision makers and set appointments for one of our subject matter experts to conduct the First Time Appointments that further qualify customer fit for our Technology Leadership program. In addition, the ISR will generate their own suspect lists and conduct initial research of suspect businesses to match our success criteria. To further the lead generation, the ISR will perform campaign activities including, but not limited to, sharing value-add content with use of telephone, social media, email, blog posts, direct mail, and other methods. This individual will also track all sales activity statuses and pertinent information such as contacts, titles, and company news and status. The ISR is responsible for confirming the First Time Appointments and providing call instructions.
 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform telephone calls to set appointments for Subject Matter Expert to conduct “First Time Appointments” (FTA’s).
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers.
  • Generate call interest using Industry Trends and Best Practices.
  • Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts to add to database.
  • Manage own time effectively to meet call volume and FTA targets.
  • Investigate potential targeted accounts that meet criteria to include in call campaigns.
  • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine sales tactics.
  • Ensure follow-up of leads and tasks are completed.
  • Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software tool.
  • Open to exploring new opportunities to add value to job and accomplishments.
  • Attend periodic sales training where applicable.
  • Occasional travel is required to attend sales events or exhibits.

  • Able to build excellent rapport with prospects.
  • Exceptional verbal, written communications and listening skills.
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.
  • Success in qualifying opportunities involving variety of key decision makers.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, various software programs, copier, fax, and telephone systems.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Experience with customer relationship management software.
  • Knowledge of Company policies, procedures, products and services.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of sales practices and principles.
 

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration preferred. Minimum of two years relevant experience in sales and marketing.

 

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Must have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid South Dakota driver’s license, have an excellent driving record and be insurable under the Company’s insurance policy.

Working Conditions:
