General Summary:
The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for the accounts payable function, including the review, coding, entry, and timely payment of invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position also supports general accounting activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, month-end processes, documentation, and audit support. This role is expected to develop broader accounting skills and support core accounting processes beyond accounts payable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and/or relevant accounting experience may be considered. Minimum of two years of bookkeeping, accounts payable, or general accounting experience required.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid South Dakota driver’s license, have an excellent driving record and be insurable under the Company’s insurance policy.
Other Qualifications and/or Credentials:
Must live in Golden West Exchange.

Working Conditions:
Good working conditions with the absence of disagreeable conditions. Climate controlled building with adequate lighting and space. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
