General Summary:
Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to laptop hardware. Diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems, and recommends or performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation. Assist in various projects relating to IT.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinates work projects, such as assessing damage, fixing and repairing customer’s laptops.
  • Reviews completed projects or computer programs to ensure that goals are met.
  • Installation of other Network and IT devices.
  • Some travel may be required.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by Management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of LAN/Wan and wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of Desktop and Server Operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Understanding of the TCP/IP stack.
  • Knowledge of IP Addressing techniques.
  • Knowledge of trouble shooting hardware and software application.
  • Ability to Setup, Operate, and maintain PC systems.
  • Ability to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to identify computer issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to use hand tools.

Education and/or Experience:

Must be working towards a computer related degree and have direct experience with Microsoft computer operating systems and associated software.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Must have, or be able to obtain, and maintain a valid South Dakota driver’s license, have an excellent driving record and be insurable under the Company’s insurance policy.

Other Qualifications and/or Credentials:
Basic knowledge of networking infrastructure will be helpful in the ability to do this job effectively.
